For court appearances, make sure you look as clean cut and pulled together as ever! Do not wear your day to day wear, so no jeans, sports team apparel, anything too revealing and flashy. Go instead with something that you’d wear to the office or professional environments. Court is conservative!
For women, a simple pencil skirt or dress pants with a fitted shell or pretty top and subtle heels is ideal. No micro minis or cleavage!
For men, a sports coat and nice pants, or a suit and tie may be ideal. Since we rarely go to court without some type of trouble, looking pulled together and professional is key. You’ll also want to avoid wearing anything that is too chic. This is one environment where you’ll want to be taken seriously.
