Men: What to Wear to the Waste Management Phoenix Open

Clip This

The cold front is making it difficult for everyone to dress for the Waste Management Phoenix Open this year. Men, don’t let the cool temperatures get in the way of looking cool at the Open. The easiest way to NOT look cool is to freeze your butt off because you are under dressed.

Step one: Bust out your favorite pair of jeans. We like a fitting, but not nut hugging, jean in a dark wash with no tacky designs on the butt. Our favorite jeans for men is Simon Miller (as seen in gallery) which can be purchased at Barneys New York.

Step two: Put on some funky socks like Paul Smith. Golfers dress colorfully, and so should you!

Step three: Put on a pair of shoes that are comfortable for a long walk on the course. See our gallery, courtesy of http://www.grungygentleman.com/, to see our favorites.

Step four: Layer appropriately. It will be cold in the morning and cold again once the sun sets. The afternoon should be bearable, but it probably will not be t-shirt weather. A pastel or brightly colored button up shirt under a v-neck sweater is an easy option. A ski fleece or vest will also suffice. And, always remember, every girl loves a man in a hoodie!

Step five: Decide if you want to bring leather driving gloves just in case. You will be holding a cold beverage which will make your hands freeze in cool temperatures. You can always take them off and put them in your pockets, or let some nice, cold young lady wear them if you don’t feel the need.

Step six: Decide if you want to bring a beanie. It will be cold in the morning and when the sun goes down. In the afternoon, you can take it off an put it in your BACK pocket. It’ll look cool.

Step seven: Bring your shades and put on sunscreen. Sunburn is not cute, nor is skin cancer.
